The American entrepreneur Rejects Spurs Acquisition Offer After Approach
The long-serving executive oversaw Tottenham's relocation to the state-of-the-art venue in the year 2019.
US technology mogul Earick has dismissed making a formal takeover bid for Spurs.
Spurs had earlier “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a investment group spearheaded by the American last period and maintained the club was not for sale.
Yet the nation's corporate governance laws required that, after an informal proposal rejected, Earick's consortium had to submit a bid by the October deadline or state they would refrain.
Confirmation of the decision was provided in a statement released by the club to the London Stock Exchange, stating the team is “no longer in an takeover phase.”
He shared an snapshot of the announcement on online platforms, adding: “I've had a pleasure discussing with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's agents over the past few months.
“I have high regard for the organization, its executives, and its followers, and wish them only the best.”
Tottenham's directors acknowledged the group for its “positive engagement” in discussions and for “acknowledging the clear position” of the owners that the club is off the market.
Brooklyn Earick is a one-time music presenter who also worked in aerospace studies for the space agency before creating Redacted RnD, which focuses on technology, entertainment, sport and leisure.
His approach was the latest inquiry rejected by the team's directors since the sudden departure of top executive Daniel Levy in last month.
In early fall, the organization rejected offers from ex-Newcastle investor the financier's PCP International Finance Limited and a consortium headed by Kennedy and the co-investor through Firehawk Holdings Limited.
Levy and his family own about a significant stake of the parent company – which has an nearly 87 percent interest in Spurs.
Levy was the English top flight's most enduring chair and is reported to have earned in excess of fifty million pounds during his long tenure in the position.
Yet he was also the target of regular protests by Tottenham supporters, particularly last term as home competition outcomes proved disappointing.
Tottenham secured their initial silverware in nearly two decades when they overcame the Red Devils in the May continental decider.
